My Dear Fathers, Brothers & Sisters,

It is indeed a grace filled and a happy moment for me to welcome very warmly our new Chief Shepherd Very Rev. Msgr. Raymond Kingsley Wickramasinghe into our midst whose Episcopal Ordination and Installation will take place on Wednesday the 31st August at St. Mary's Cathedral, Galle with the presence of Church Hierarchy, Priests, Religious and lay faithful.  All the Priests and the Religious of the Diocese of Galle are invited to the Episcopal Ordination and Installation Ceremony of our newly appointed Bishop to show our loyalty and obedience  to  him.

Dear Bishop Raymond Wickramasinghe, we know  that you are an excellent teacher, friend, educationist, counselor and above all a good pastor.  With your vast knowledge  on various subjects and fields and the experience you have gained both at National and International levels will surely  be a help for you to carry  out the new  responsibilities and the pastoral obligations as the new  Chief Shepherd of  the Diocese of Galle.

Let me wish you, dear Msgr. Raymond Wickramasinghe, good health and peace of mind to pasture the people entrusted to you by our Lord and Master.  May our Blessed Mother intercede in all your Apostolic and Missionary undertakings.  We assure our prayers and fullest cooperation for you to continue the very mission of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Diocese of Galle.
